A personal finance ledger for iPhone that keeps your records yours.
Tally records what you spend and what you have. Everything stays on your device and, if you want it to, in your own iCloud account. There is no account to create, no server of ours holding your ledger, and nothing reported back about how you use it.
A keypad-first composer with a built-in calculator, a grid of the categories you actually use, and an account it suggests from your recent habits. Holding the add button fans out your most likely categories so a routine entry never needs the full form.
Rent, a car, a wedding, a pet, a business. Each book arrives stocked with the categories that belong to it, so opening one is not opening an empty grid.
Amounts are settled into a primary currency you choose. Where a rate is missing the entry is shown as unsettled rather than converted by guesswork; daily reference rates come from the European Central Bank when you ask for them.
A refund reduces what you reported spending instead of pretending to be income. An expense paid on someone else's behalf can be marked, then settled when the money comes back.
Import an iCost workbook and it round-trips field for field, including the columns Tally does not model. Export in Chinese — the layout iCost itself reads — or in English for anything else.
Where the month went by category and by account, income against spending, and net worth over a week, a month or a year.
Tally makes exactly one network request: fetching the European Central Bank's public daily reference rates, which carries none of your data. There is no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, and no third-party SDK of any kind. The app asks for no system permissions.
